Just like any other model builder, I started building models at a very young age. (I'm 33 now...) Then of course, other things get in the way. You have less time to put into them... I got back into building models again in '93. I wasn't aware of all the aftermarket stuff you could get, or how far along the hobby had come! I grew up around old cars, so I always knew what I liked... OLD FORDS!! (some Chevys too!) All modelers know, each one you build is usually better than the last one. That's the way it was for me...
The cars I build are basically box stock. I'll "rob" parts from other kits, (it's the thing to do!) to get the look I want. I dont use any aftermarket stuff, and I don't wire the engines. (Not enough patience?) I go for the overall look.
The cars I love the most, are street rods and mild customs. To me, theres nothing better than a rod or custom in "suede"! I like that "in progress" look. Although, I do paint some of my models with "real" paint. Here they are, in no particular order...
