WELCOME TO WHEREVER YOU ARE - VIDEO FILMED
Maxing out their work week in New York City, BON JOVI spent Wednesday, AUGUST 10th filming the video for WELCOME TO WHEREVER YOU ARE. This video was directed by MARK KLASFELD, who worked with BON JOVI on the videos for MISUNDERSTOOD and ALL ABOUT LOVIN' YOU off the BOUNCE project. Each band member was filmed alone (Richie, Tico and David filmed their footage at various locations in and around the Hammerstein Ballroom - where they'd spent the previous two days rehearsing and taping the CrossRoads show - whereas Jon's solo footage was filmed at Smith's Bar) before a group shot on a NYC street late last nite before several hundred onlookers. That's all the info we can share about the video right now - it's a lONG way before that's slated to be shared with the world but the band was all together so they took the time to get another video done for this album... because there's plenty of more work for them to do on the horizon! Before the videoshoot, JON and RICHIE sat down with Richard Wilkins of THE TODAY SHOW in Australia (so look for that interview to air in OZ shortly) and also did radio interviews (XM, Sirius and syndicated shows in the US - so keep your ears tuned.) Lots more stuff on the horizon...

A new Bon Jovi album due in the spring will be a "loud guitar, big rock record," says Jon Bon Jovi. "We're very excited about it, and I'm very confident it's going to be a big record for us." Guitarist Richie Sambora says the band will launch a world tour in the late spring to support the album, dates for which have not yet been announced. "I think we stumbled upon something again on this particular record, kind of like what happened with 'It's My Life,'" Sambora says. "When [that] came out, it seemed to give Bon Jovi a whole new audience. We've always had a vast audience base, but with this new record, what I'm feeling [is] it's kind of a new direction. It sounds very fresh, yet it sounds like us."

100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG... - UNIQUE FOUR-CD/ONE-DVD BOX SET FEATURES 38 NEVER BEFORE RELEASED RECORDINGS PLUS 12 RARITIES (Friday, October 1, 2004)
100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong... (Island Def Jam/UMe), released November 16, 2004, is a "thinking outside the box" box set from one of the most popular and successful bands in rock. Another landmark in Bon Jovi's history of pioneering events, the mammoth four-CD, 50-song collection (plus a DVD) is not a greatest hits collection but instead is comprised largely of previously unreleased recordings from the band's vast archive--in other words, the band's "greatest hits you never heard." Along with the 38 tracks that make their debuts are a dozen rarities from around the world. The earliest songs hail from 1985, the latest from 2003. Yet each CD was sequenced by the band as a complete album experience rather than chronologically. Also included is a bonus DVD featuring exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. In addition, the hardbound collector's box set package boasts a 64-page booklet with rare photos, fan testimonials, exclusive interviews, and personal content from the band.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong... is the group's first box set and, in typical Bon Jovi fashion, breaks new ground. Whereas most such packages recycle a greatest hits album and add a few previously unreleased bonuses, this collection offers fans the chance to discover their own never before released favorites by presenting dozens of songs that, for whatever reason, never made an album. Typically, this prolific band records upwards of 30 songs for an album; matters of time, style and personal preference often result in difficult choices. In fact, Jon Bon Jovi jokes that he would make a poor A&R exec because he wanted to leave what turned out to be a monster hit, "Livin' On A Prayer," off the landmark album Slippery When Wet.

Also noteworthy is that with 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong... Bon Jovi launches American XS Platinum, a premium paid level of membership in the American XS program that provides exclusive content and benefits. Bon Jovi initiated the original American XS program with the release of 2002's Bounce. Each copy of that CD included a sticker with a unique pin code and by logging onto www.bonjovi.com, purchasers could sign up for American XS and receive exclusive access to footage (video and audio) as well as access to passwords for pre-sales on concert tickets.

Bon Jovi's history of initiating such new ideas has included Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora's seminal bare-bones, acoustic performance on the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards, which became the inspiration for the "Unplugged" series. Bon Jovi also became the first artist to close New York's W. 53rd Street for a performance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and the first to perform on the rooftop of that show's Ed Sullivan Theatre. In 2001, the band drew more than half a million people to Times Square to see their performance at the inaugural NFL Kickoff event and then helicoptered to Giants Stadium to become the first artist to perform at a Giants halftime show. A 2002 London concert was broadcast live into movie theatres across the U.K. and Europe and Webcast live to more 1,000,000 viewers in 60-plus countries. Bon Jovi also spearheaded the Moscow Music Peace Festival in that city's Olympic Stadium--the first rock music fest of its kind in the former U.S.S.R.- and the band's New Jersey album was the first western rock album officially released by Melodiya, the government label in the then-Soviet Union.

With the release of 2002's Bounce, Bon Jovi again made headlines when they partnered with MTV Worldwide for a "Bounce to Australia" contest where every single MTV partner across the globe sent contest winners to see Bon Jovi's show in Australia. A rarity for a hard rockin' band that emerged in the '80s, today Bon Jovi's dignity remains intact, its songs have stood the test of time and its fans still want more. As the title says, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong...

THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT
BON JOVI To Release Their Greatest Hits With A New Twist; In Stores: November 4, 2003
* The first-ever to headline the NFL KICKOFF Spectacular in Times Square, NYC
* One of the TOP 10 GROSSING CONCERT TOURS of 2003
* The #3 TOURING ACT in 2003 as voted by readers of Rolling Stone magazine
* The #4 All-Time Greatest MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS Live Performance
* The #4 All-Time Greatest NFL MUSIC EVENT in Rolling Stone magazine
* In the past three years: Three sold-out world tours in three years; Two studio albums and one live album in three years; Multiple Grammy Nominations in the past three years.
2000 - 2003 have been incredibly successful (and busy) for one of the most recognized and beloved rock groups in the world. And at the end of the day, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE SONGS. BON JOVI are set to release THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT on NOVEMBER 4, 2003. Co-produced by PAT LEONARD, JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA, THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT is a showcase of the band's greatest hits, each completely reworked from an acoustic base with new arrangements and various styles. (In addition to the Bon Jovi hits, which include "Born To Be My Baby," "Keep The Faith," "It's My Life" and "Wanted Dead or Alive," the band has included two new songs, "Last Man Standing" and "Thief of Hearts".) THIS LEFT FEELS RIGHT is not the band performing their most popular songs with two acoustic guitars. Each song has been broken down to its core elements, re-discovered and re-crafted, constructing an album that takes the songs you thought you knew in a whole new direction. "We went into the studio thinking we were making an acoustic record," says Jon Bon Jovi. "We had a definite idea of the record we were going to make. But once we began experimenting with the songs and trying out new ideas we created a very different, unique album. We made acomplete left turn and took the project down a different road." The band joined forces with veteran producer PAT LEONARD (Madonna, Rod Stewart, Elton John) and began the process of choosing which of the many hits the team would rework. Large rock anthems became jazzy riffs. Songs sung aloud to crowds of 80,000 morphed into intimate serenades. Tempos and instrumentations, phrasings and arrangements have been revamped and each track is as if it were a brand new song. The long hours in the studio have been some of the most creative and productive the band have ever experienced. "I am having the most fun I've ever had working on this album," elates Richie Sambora. "I'm so excited - I literally cannot wait to get into the studio everyday and get to work." The concept of stripping the songs down to their basic elements and performing them acoustically is nothing new for Bon Jovi. Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora made history when they took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1989 and performed "Livin' On A Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" with just two guitars. That monumental performance inspired the UnPlugged TV series and the UnPlugged movement in music. That watershed moment was voted the #4 All Time Greatest MTV VMA Performance. Since that time, Bon Jovi have performed "busks" all over the world, in cities as diverse as Moscow, London, Barcelona and Sydney, in front of thousands and thousands of fans who gather to witness the acoustic public concerts. In 2001, Jon and Richie gave a stirring performance of "Livin' On A Prayer" at the America: A Tribute To Heroes telethon. Later that year, the duo performed a poignant rendition of "Here Comes The Sun" as a tribute to George Harrison at the MY VH-1 Awards. In January 2003, the band decided to take the acoustic setting even further and performed an entire concert acoustically in Yokohama, Japan. The band then hand-picked several cities on their Bounce tour and designated them as shows which would open with a one-hour acoustic set before performing the remainder of the concert "plugged in." These shows were a thrill for the band, the fans and the critics alike. The St. Paul Pioneer Press wrote, "Even unplugged, Bon Jovi rules!" Once the tour had ended, Bon Jovi took that enthusiasm and headed right into the studio to work on the acoustic record.

BON JOVI ROCKED SHEPHERDS BUSH. Minutes ago Bon Jovi left the stage to a frenzied crowd at Shepherds Bush Empire at 8:45 sharp: Bon Jovi hit the stage. The band took the stage and Jon and Richie began an acoustic version of The Kinks classic song Celluloid Hero... and, after the first verse, rock 'n' roll legend Ray Davies of The Kinks joined the band on stage for a full version of the song! The crowd went wild and you can see the excitement run through the crowd and into the band. It was a Huge surprise for the crowd! Ray said his thanks and Bon Jovi took over with: Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name, Everyday, Born To Be My Baby, Just Older, Bounce, Undivided, Wanted Dead Or Alive, It's My Life, Misundersood, The Distance, Captain Crash And The Beauty Queen From Mars, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Bad Mediciine (with Shout as the ending). Of course they couldn't leave it like so after a few minutes, the band returned for the first encore: Joey and Blood On Blood. They left the stage and came back moments later with an amazing rendition of Keep The Faith. As soon as that song was done, the band darted offstage, out the stage door and into waiting cars... off into the London night. And for those of you who weren't there to catch it live, it was webcasted on rollingstone.com. It was just like you were there, without the sweat of course! Don't forget all the cinemas in the UK, as well as in Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg...the crowd reaction was amazing. The fans were up and dancing and partying as if they were in Shepherds Bush themselves! We hope you enjoyed the show as much as the band enjoyed playing it!

MTV BOUNCE PREVIEW - All kinds of emotions stir through Bounce. While the album is hopeful and romantic throughout, some of the songs are angry and aggressive, reflecting the turbulence and tension that exists in the world today. However, the loud tracks aren't just punchy commercial metal, they're also forward-thinking, suggesting that Jon was tuning into modern rock radio. The opening riff in "Undivided" sounds a lot like Weezer's "Hash Pipe," the tweaked, ragged guitars and electronic embellishments on "Everyday" are more than a little like Garbage, and the raw, precise riffery and exultant "I know you can do it, c'mon!" vocals of "Hook Me Up" are reminiscent of the Cult. Of course, all three tracks also feature elements of vintage Bon Jovi, including gradually building dynamics, dramatic vocals and infectious refrains, resulting in a style that introduces listeners to new sounds without jarring them out of their headphones. No Bon Jovi record is complete without sweeping ballads, and Bounce has several. There's the poignant piano and stirring strings of "Hey Joey" the reflective, lighter-raiser "All About Loving You" and the breathing rhythms and ringing guitars of "Open All Night." Of course, there's plenty of ground between the two extremes, like the exultant mid-paced rocker "The Distance," and "Misunderstood," which simultaneously jangles, grooves and rocks.Once again, Bon Jovi have created a record that pinpoints the passions, drives and points of interest of their audience, even though the band's frontman is drawing less from personal recollections to help achieve that end. 26 Aug: Worldwide "Everyday" New Single Release. 05 Sep: US NFL Kick-off Live From Times Square, New York. 07 Sep: UK LIVE Capital Radio FM Wembley Arena *SOLD OUT*. 11 Sep: Japan BOUNCE CD Album Release. 23 Sep: International BOUNCE CD Album Release. 08 Oct: US/Canada BOUNCE CD Album Release.

Bon Jovi took home the My VH-1 Music Award for Hottest Live Show! But we'll get to that. Jon Bon Jovi arrived at the Shrine Auditorium and gave an interview to Isaac Hayes and VH-1's Rebecca Rankin along the red carpet and gave away the big secret: Jon & Richie were now opening the show... When the show began, the entire venue was dark except for spotlights on a small stage where Jon and Richie were sitting on stools. Richie had his double-neck acoustic guitar (and the guys were accompanied by two cellists.) And then the first notes of "Here Comes The Sun" were plucked on Richie's guitar and the crowd in the theatre and at home realized Jon & Richie were paying tribute to the late George Harrison. Jon & Richie sang as black & white images of George Harrison's career played on a large screen behind them. And as the performance ended, Jon said "we'll miss you, George." Jon and Richie were asked personally to play and were honored to pay tribute like this. You can download "Here Comes The Sun" at www.bonjovi.com.

November, 2001 Together with Mark Hudson ( Aerosmith ), country songwriter Gary Burr and Desmond Child, Richie Sambora wrote the song Take On Me. This perticular song is recorded for the soundtrack of the movie "On The Line", which will be shown in US cinemas. "It's much different than what Bon Jovi sounds like", Richie said. Take On Me has got rythm and blues as well as Steve Winwood influences and it's a very powerful song.

I've already started writing a little bit." He added, "Right now, I don't have anything to say as a solo artist. I know what I want to say as a band voice." The band are currently touring supporting last year's Crush, which has now sold seven million copies worldwide. The band have thought about a live album for a while, Jon said, "The hardcore fans have wanted a live album for years, but, also, a new generation of fans who just started with the band with Crush needed an education. They needed to know that we had nine other albums."

TWO WILD NIGHTS AT THE ARENA !!!
Having a lot of fun is the most important part of what Bon Jovi is about. Jon Bon Jovi is an unbelievably great frontman who has a way of involving the audience in every show.Bon Jovi has been always a band of the people so forget the real world ! A Bon Jovi show is putting your hands up in the air and singing and having a blast. To us , Bon Jovi's music and rock'n'roll is always about communication. After two One Wild Nights at the Amsterdam Arena you must say, Bon Jovi crushed Holland again. Two great nights of rock'n'roll delivered by a band who were having lots of fun performing. Not only the band , but also the audience was full of energy and going wild, especially at the second show. Richie was totally focused and into his guitar playing but also Tico, David and Hugh seemed to get more attention and were often shown on the big screen. Before Bon Jovi went on stage there was a little surprise when support act Anastasia introduced Richie Sambora. Together they performed an accoustic version of Cowboy and Kisses off course with Richie on guitar and vocals. Special songs at the shows were Twist and Shout, Tequila, Dancing In The Street, Something To Believe In and Raise Your Hands. Definitely two amazing electrifying rock'n'roll shows. Bon Jovi, as it was, as it is and as it always will be.

June, 2001

Bon Jovi just finished their two amazing shows in AMSTERDAM and the European leg of the One Wild Night tour is in full swing! Earlier in the week, the boys filmed a VIDEO for the LIVE version of "Wanted Dead or Alive" (that's going to be the next live track to go to radio internationally from the LIVE CD) at the Arena in Amsterdam. In each country they visit, the band is doing press, so keep your eyes and ears open for coverage of the band in your backyard!

June, 2001

Bon Jovi Planning New Box Set Studio Album. Rock veterans Bon Jovi are still touring behind last year's "Crush" (Island) album and the brand new concert set "One Wild Night Live 1985-2001," but frontman Jon Bon Jovi tells Billboard the group is already eyeing its next round of projects. Following the next studio album, due in 2002, Bon Jovi says, fans can expect a boxed set in 2003, released in conjunction with the band's 20th anniversary.

"We're looking to go into the studio in January. I've already started writing a little bit," he says. "Right now, I don't have anything to say as a solo artist. I know what I want to say as a band voice."

Bon Jovi says the band had long been reticent to release a live album, but came around to the idea after the rush of younger fans they saw responding to "Crush," which has sold 7 million copies worldwide, according to the label. "The hardcore fans have wanted a live album for years, but, also, a new generation of fans who just started with the band with 'Crush' needed an education," he notes. "They needed to know that we had nine other albums."

The group's summer tour in support of "Crush" concludes with sold-out shows July 27-28 in the band's backyard, New Jersey's Giants Stadium. "We could have added a third night, but you gotta leave them wanting more. We sold them out, we proved our point. It's really a wonderful feeling. We're very pleased. That's why the trucks stop in New Jersey. I'm not going any further. I'm close enough to hitch a ride home." (Thanks to Melinda Newman).

May, 2001

BON JOVI to jump straight into the next album. Bon Jovi is currently in the middle of its One Wild Night tour, and the New Jersey rockers have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Bon Jovi's first-ever live album, also called One Wild Night, will be released to stores on May 22, and the band is already working on a follow-up to their double-platinum 2000 studio album, Crush. Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan confirmed that Bon Jovi is currently writing songs for the follow-up. "The plans for the band are when we finish Giants Stadium that is the last show, for this record - for 'Crush' - we'll take August off and then we're going to go back into the studio as soon as we can."

April, 2001

One Wild Night Single - released on 7th May. The single is the title track of their new and first live album of the same name. It has been specially re-mixed by top rock producer Dave Bascombe and is the only studio recording on the album. Tracks, 'One Wild Night' (2001 Version), 'Lay Your Hands On Me' (Live), 'I Believe' (Live) & 'Hey God' (Live). The second part also contains four tracks, including three more previously unreleased non-LP live recordings (none of which overlap with those on the first part). February 07, 2001

Bon Jovi is headed to Australia for a 2 gig tour!! The tour includes one-night-only show at Sydney's Olympic Stadium and another at Melbourne's Colonial Stadium in late March. I hear that the Colonial Stadium date is likely to be March 24, but this is not yet confirmed. An official announcement on the show is expected next week. The band had planned a full Australian tour. but Jon Bon Jovi's film schedule, and tour dates already in place for Japan, Central America, Europe and the US, left little time left for Aussie fans. Jon Bon Jovi is shooting Vampires Los Muertos in Mexico with horror director, John Carpenter. When shooting ends in early March, the band starts five months on the road.

January 19, 2001

BON JOVI will be hitting North America not once, but twice this spring and summer. The first run of dates on this continent will be roughly mid-April thru mid-May and will mostly visit markets the boys haven't played yet on the Crush tour. Then the boys head over to play a month worth of stadiums in Europe before returning to the United States for more dates in July (they'll hit a few more cities they haven't played so far before heading back to the east coast to revisit some cities they've played before and wrap up the tour with a bang.) Mark Fisher, designer of the stages from the Rolling Stones or Pink Floyd, is also the designer of the 2000 tour stage. Mark has allready designed the 1995 tour stage. Also the this year's Tina Turner stage is a giantic creation of Mark Fisher. The stage will be smaller than the stages we know from 1995 and 1996. But the stage will have more details and will be really beautiful. Also the lights will be steered with up-to-date hardware. The light effects can be compared with the effects of the "Bridges to Babylon"-tour-stage from the Rolling Stones. Just with a smaller stage. The stage will contain Tico Torres art located left and right of the stage. Finally, the stage will be a little bit smaller than showed above. You can see 3 big screens - one left, one right and one in the middle. Also there is a 2nd small stage located in front of the stage. A bridge is located between the main stage and the 2nd stage. The Tico art left and right (and also behind) of the stage looks great. The backside wall contains to 100 % of lights. Great! There are also smaller bridges and ways on the stage where Jon can run upside and left & right. Thanks to Bernhard Konig

May 10, 2000

Well, the boys are off to the far corners of the globe to begin the promotional tour for CRUSH. Here's a rundown of what they'll be doing so you can keep your eyes and ears open for BON JOVI in your part of the world: First stop: JAPAN. In addition to lots of Japanese press (TV, newspapers, radio interviews) the band will also be on NHK TV to do three songs. They perform "It's My Life" and "Next 100 Years" before they are joined on stage by Japanese recording artists Penicillin, Surface, Akiyo Dabashi and Arisa Mizuki for "Livin' On A Prayer". Tuesday night May 16th head over to Tower Records... the album will go on sale at MIDNIGHT when it turns May 17th and BON JOVI will be making an in-store appearance!

Next stop: LONDON. On Thursday, MAY 18th the band will visit the Capitol Radio Morning Show before doing a ton of local press (so look for the guys all over TV, newspapers...) On Friday, MAY 19th, the boys will be guests on The Big Breakfast show, before stopping in at TOTP (they'll tape a regular TOTP appearance AND do an entire taping for TOTP-2 which will feature news songs and classic Bon Jovi tracks as well...) and perform LIVE on TFIF ("it's my life" - live from 10:30-11:30pm London time). On Saturday moring, MAY 20, BON JOVI will appear on CD-UK where they'll perform "it's my life" (but studio audiences will see them do additional songs as well...)

Next stop: ROME. For a lot of press (Italian TV and newspapers, radio & magazines) and the official launch party for CRUSH in Europe...

Then it's on to HOLLAND for a taping of STAATSLOTERSHOW on May 23.

Then it's on to GERMANY so VIVA can interview the boys on camera... And then they set off for NICE so they can peform at the WORLD SPORTS AWARDS on Thursday, MAY 25th.

On Saturday, MAY 27th, BON JOVI will appear at FESTIVAL BAR in NAPOLI, ITALY. A fews days to catch their breath and then they're off again!

On Thursday, JUNE 1st BON JOVI will perform at the ZDF "EXPO" GALA in Hannover, GERMANY before heading home to the States.

On Saturday, JUNE 3rd, BON JOVI will be part of the bill at KISS 108 BOSTON's show at Great Woods. This is an outdoor venue. (this annual event goes on sale earlier in the year before the final bill is set - please be aware there was no way to know the band would be on the bill at the time the show was announced and put on sale. And, since this is a radio show, there are no fan club ticket arrangements for this event.)
The band remains in New England for the WPRO FM bash in PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island on Sunday, JUNE 4th at the Providence Civic Center (this is an indoor event.) Again this is a radio station concert therefore, there are no fan club tickets arrangements for this event.) Both the shows in Boston and Providence are multi-act bills so keep in mind, BON JOVI will not be performing an entire concert... they'll perform an abbreviated set. As of now, the band is confirmed to perform on THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN on Tuesday, JUNE 13th. They are also confirmed for THE TODAY SHOW's "Outdoor Summer Concert Series" on Friday, JUNE 16th in NYC's Rockefeller Center (this is open to the public. The show will air LIVE from 7-9am EST and the band will perform several songs (some on the air and some only for you folks who turn up to watch along with the office workers hanging out from the buildings surrounding the RockCenter studios!) If you want to attend, it is FREE but it does get crowded. Grab a cup of coffee and a bagel and get there early and pray for gorgeous weather! There will be LOTS of other people, plenty of Today Show staff, plenty of roadies setting up the show so don't worry about being their at an odd hour - you won't be alone. The entire month of JUNE will be a very hectic one for the band given the domestic release of CRUSH onJune 13th... so keep checking back here for more details on other promotional events and appearances that may pop up in your neck of the woods.

BON JOVI are also confirmed to perform at Sandstone Amphitheatre in Bonner Springs, KS on Saturday, JUNE 24th as part of another multi-act radio show bill. Monday, JULY 3rd, they'll also take part in the Uncle Sam Jam at Deer Creek Amphitheatre in Indianpolis, IN (again, a multi-act radio show.) Take note: these are radio station shows so BON JOVI will not be doing a full concert, they'll do a short set and again, since they are radio station shows, there are no fan club ticket arrangements for the events.

The boys grab their passports and head back to Europe again to make an appearance at FESTIVAL BAR in Ligano Sabbiadora (seaside Veneto) in ITALY on SAturday, JULY 8th before heading to JAPAN to begin their concert tour!

When they're done with the dates in JAPAN, they'll stop in at JAY LENO to make an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW in late July. And in August... they're off for more dates in Europe. This should give you a general idea of what the band is up to (and a solid appreciation of the exhausting schedule the band is subjected to!)
More information as it is CONFIRMED (BWJBJ)

The video is hitting airwaves all over the world (but not in the US or Canada just yet) and getting an amazing response. For those of you who have not seen it yet, here's some info. A young man, "Tommy", is working on his computer and watching BJTV which shows a secret Bon Jovi concert happening at the same time, he's called by his girlfriend who yells at him to meet her at the show in the tunnel. The rest of the video is Tommy's struggle to make it to the concert by running all over the city to get there in time. "Tommy" is WILL ESTES (JBJ's co-star in U-571; Will plays "Rabbit") who, believe it or not, did most of his own stunts, and his girlfriend is played by SHIRI APPLEBY (from the WB's TV series "Roswell). On his way to the secret gig, Tommy hitches a ride on a garbage truck, runs through traffic, encounters a few more obstacles think of it as an homage to "run lola run". Interspersed throughout this is performance footage of BON JOVI singing live in the tunnel. The video was shot by WAYNE ISHAM in Los Angeles over several days in March (the band's footage was shot on March 19th when all the fans were asked to be there) before having all the special fx magic added to it. It's a FUN video, the guys look HOT what more could you ask for? You could ask for more of it! Bombard MTV all over the world requesting this video. Since the US is on a later schedule, MTV here doesn't have it yet but start demanding it NOW!

Bon Jovi To "Crush" Fans In June
The first new Bon Jovi album in a half-decade will be carrying the title of "Crush," and it's scheduled to be released on June 13, according to the band's label. The group has been in frontman Jon Bon Jovi's home studio in New Jersey for the past several months recording the long-awaited follow-up to 1995's "These Days". The new CD was originally dubbed "Sex Sells," but that idea was squelched when the song of the same name didn't make the final track listing. Also up for serious consideration was "One Wild Night," which is the title of a song that will make the album. Other songs tentatively slated for the disc include "The Next 100 Years" (featuring a 64-piece orchestra), "Thank You For Loving Me," (described by Bon Jovi in an interview with "Kerrang!" as "a billion-dollar ballad" reminiscent of "Bed of Roses"), and a song called "Just Older." Other tracks will likely include "Save The World," "I Got The Girls," "She's A Mystery," "Neurotica," and "Hard To Make A Living Loving You." The song "Say It Isn't So" was at one time slated to be the first track to be released from the LP, although net reports say "It's My Life" will get the nod. A spokesperson for the label told MTV News that the first single is yet to be determined. The band should wrap up production on "Crush" next week. Bon Jovi will only be touring for approximately six months starting in Japan and continuing onto Europe for the bulk of July and August followed by a North American jaunt in September and October.

February 12, 2000

Jon Bon Jovi invited a few dozen people from around the world into his home studio for a preview of his band's upcoming album. The concert, which aired live on the band's Internet Web site, was the finale of a "cyber project" called "Bon Jovi 2000." Since Jan. 10, fans have been able to monitor the musicians as they recorded tracks for their album. Three cameras in Bon Jovi's home studio provided audio and video of the recording process. The album, tentatively titled "Crush" and scheduled for release at the end of May, is the first one Bon Jovi recorded in his home state. The new songs are melodic and catchy, with optimistic lyrics that Bon Jovi said reflect his current mind-set.

February 01, 2000

The Bon Jovi live concert webcast featuring new songs will be broadcast on BJTV at 8pm on February 10th! The live event (as well as the ongoing recording of the new Bon Jovi album) can be accessed at http://www.rollingstone.com/bonjovi

January 23, 2000

JON BON JOVI has just accepted a role in the movie "PAY IT FORWARD" (which is based upon the Catherine Ryan Hyde novel)starring HELEN HUNT, KEVIN SPACEY and HALEY JOEL OSMENT. The story is about a young boy's attempt to make the world a better place by inventing a "pay it forward" pyramid scheme in which you do a good deed for three strangers and, instead of returning the favor to its giver, the recipients of your kindness are obligated to "pay it forward" by doing a good deed for three more individuals. (don't worry! the scheduling is such that it WON'T affect the upcoming Bon Jovi album or tour!)The movie will be directed by Mimi Leder (she directed The Peacekeeper and Deep Impact)and distributed by Warner Brothers. "Pay It Forward" will be shooting in February... and NO, it won't interfere with the BON JOVI album or tour.

January 09, 2000

Bon Jovi is sequestered in the New Jersey home studio of Jon Bon Jovi, where the group is recording its first album since 1995's "These Days". A spokesperson for Island/Def Jam Records confirms that the CD's first single will be a track called "Say It Ain't So", tentatively expected to be released in March. The self-produced album, as yet untitled, should be out in May. The frontman told fans in an informal chat session that the group "is in a better mood this time around". He also revealed that the album will be reminiscent of 1986's "Slippery When Wet" and include two ballads. He added that the group plans to tour for about six months starting in the Far East and that the outing will likely include a stop at London's famed Wembley Stadium, where Bon Jovi might well be the last band to perform prior to the current building's pending demise. Jon also imparted to fans that he still intends to record another solo album. He had originally intended to release his own CD last year, and he instead opted to concentrate on a group effort. The band has been on a five-year sabbatical in which the members have worked on individual pursuits, including Bon Jovi's burgeoning movie career. Jon will be seen on the big screen later this year in the World War II submarine drama "U-571" alongside Matthew McConaughey.

January 07, 2000

Bon Jovi is overdubbing tracks from the new album. Jon and Richie are co-producing these tracks along with an up and coming producer named Luke Ebbins. They've narrowed down 60 tracks to 18 and, ultimately, it will be 12. Sex Sells will not be the title of the new album. Circumstances change so... the title for now is ONE WILD NIGHT. And if all goes according to plan, it will be out early Spring, at the latest. We must have patience until than.

September 21, 1999

On the morning of SEPTEMBER 13th, JON BON JOVI entered Right Track Studios in New York City and recorded his parts for the upcoming "CHILDREN'S PROMISE" charity single and video of "IT'S ONLY ROCK 'N ROLL".
The project is being co-ordinated by COMIC RELIEF in the UK and all money raised goes directly to their affiliated charities focusing on children. The Rolling Stones have donated the use of the song and a slew of famous folks (mostly musicians, but actors and comedians as well) are lending their voices to certain lines of the track. The final song and video will be a compilation of those voices and images (a "making-of-the-song" reel will be edited together as well). The video & special is slated to premiere on the BBC in early December. JON was asked to sing the first verse of the song (so he'll be the very first voice you hear singing). Some of the artists who have lent their voices include ANNIE LENOX, CHRISSIE HYNDE, ROBIN WILLIAMS, JAMES BROWN, HERBIE HANCOCK, B.B. KING, AXL ROSE, STEVIE WONDER, OZZY OSBOURNE. More details on how/when/where you can see/hear the song & video as they become available.

September 19, 1999

Mrs. B said that Jon will NOT be performing at the NetAid. She said that he has not been confirmed, and she said that he will not be. She also said that it was just a rumour. And that if you don't read it at Backstagejbj.com in the news section then it's fair to say that jon will not be there, as well as the band.
