Robby Takac

The bassist and co-lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls is Robby Takac. Robby was born on September 30, 1964. Takac was a suburban kid with a Brady Bunch-style background who was completing broadcasting college while playing in a heavy metal band with John's cousin. When Robby met John and eventually formed the Goo Goo Dolls, his parents didn't exactly love the idea. When the band first started Robby was the only vocalist, but he encouraged John to sing and in John's words, "He may have created a monster."
