Abelmoschus esculentus 'Burgundy' ht: 4-6 ft.
lc: reddish-green, showy
fc: yellow, tinged red
frc: dark red with maturity, somewhat ornamental up close
lu: this is a colorful version of the very delicious okra. This cultivar is
lu: one of those "edible landscape plants" and is no mere novelty in
lu: the role. The tall imposing foliage followed by dark fruit is very
lu: interesting indeed - even if no terribly bold from a distance.

 

Abelmoschus manihot 'Cream Cup' ns: a listed name. Not common. Apparently a creamy-yellow flower.

 

Abelmoschus manihot 'Sunset' ('Sunset Grandiflora'?) fc: yellow tinged red, very showy
ns: "sunset hibiscus" is a common name of the species. In the trade
ns: this name appears to represent a superior, more colorful variant.
