The
Bays of Huatulco belong to
the coastal kingdome of the Mixtecs. The water of the bays is clear and
transparent, and the sand has hardly been walked on. The hotels cater to
the varying needs of every guest, even the most demanding. They embellish
the coastline both east and west of Santa Cruz. To the east, a paved road
links the Chahué, Tangolunda, and Conejos Bays. To the west lie
Organo, Maguey, and Cacaluta. All these bays are accesible by car from
Santa Cruz. Isolated farther west we find the Bahías Chachacual
and San Agustín. There is still a lot to be discovered on the coast
of Oaxaca, as it enters a bright future without losing any of its ancient
treasures. |
