A HOPEFUL VISION OF MY FUTURE:
This is a "doctored" snap shot of me working on my very own replica of R2D2.
I started to build my own version of R2D2 in the winter of 1998
using a domed trash can for the body.
I was lucky to have access to a host of motors and gears left
over from obsolete equipment that is periodically discarded from
the stock rooms at the hospital where I work as a computer
technologist. I have lots of ideas about the inner workings that
I might use but I lack a host of reference points and measurements to
help me make a better replica of R2.
