A stock VM68
I have a lot of respect for the VM-68. It is built of all metal, and is
solid as a rock. The only unusual thing about it, is it is the only gun
which takes a CO2 bottle from the front. While I personally think this is cool (why
not use the bottle as a foregrip!) it sometimes causes cycling problems, leading
people to switch to a bottomline or other CO2 input option. The VM is also
one of the most versatile paintguns, including a most interesting selection of
stocks. Besides using the bottle as a stock on back-bottle or bottom-line
kits, one can use a CAR collapsible stock, a wooden Thompson SMG stock, a wire
stock, and a folding SKS assault rifle stock! How versatile! How unique! So many options
to scare the crap out of fellow players! Now which stock to use...
What follows are some custom conversions of the VM-68. Note that all these conversions
still require the use of a hopper, so put that into your view of these guns.
Please note that some of these pics are thumbnailed, so click on them for the
larger version. Look for more info soon...
These top two photos are of VMs modified by the Cimmerians quatermaster. The
left VM is modeled to look like an M4 rifle. The right VM is modeled
on the MP-5 submachine gun. The bottom VM has the Thompson wood stock
attached with a foregrip; perhaps an attempt to make it look like a Thompson
SMG?
A VM modified to look like an M-16 (left), and a VM modified to look like an M4 (right)...
A VM modified to look like an M4 short (left) and homemade VM conversion (right), looks sorta like an M3 submachinegun.
The first three mods were done by GunFX.
If you can ever get in touch with them, maybe they can do the same for your
gun. The last gun was found on ebay, done by a private individual with a lot of love for his VM. Paint on brother!
