Objective: To teach the students the concept of the chicken dance and develop an understanding for it.
Equipment: Record player or tape player along with the music
# of students: Entire class
Formation: One large circle centered in the middle of gym.
Rules:
lst sequence --- Four snaps(thumb and fingers up in air)
2nd sequence --- four flaps(arms go up 6 down, elbows bent)
3rd sequence --- four wiggles(hips and knees bend low)
4th sequence --- four claps
--skip around the circle when the music changes to the slower beat,
then repeat the steps above when the music changes back to the first
sequence.
