(9/20/97) McCOY _ Carl Joseph McCoy, beloved husband of Barb McCoy of Calgary, passed away peacefully at his home amongst his family, after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, September 18, 1997 at the age of 56 years. Carl was born April 26, 1941 in Deloro, Ontario. He lived in Marmora, Ontario until 1978 when he moved his family to Fort McMurray, Alberta. Carl retired from Syncrude Canada Ltd. in April 1996, moving to Calgary in November 1996. He will be sadly missed and remembered most for his love of family, great sense of humor and love of sports. Vi left a legacy of love, compassion, friends and family. She personified family values in the very best sense, always gathering her friends and family around her. She was a pillar of strength for others to lean on. Besides her accomplishments as a farmer and business woman, Vi had many other loves including cooking, gardening, and singing in the Evergreens choir. She remains an inspiration to all who knew her.
