STORY BEHIND THE
POEM
THANK YOU TO THE NURSES OF WARD T
.
This is another poem that is pretty
much self explanatory. My wife at the time had given birth to our first
baby "Tamara". Complications set in, and instead of the normal 3 day stay,
it extended to 10 days.
.
All of the nurses were wonderful taking
great care of mother and baby. So I wrote this poem on a thank you card
and along with a dozen roses, left it to thank the staff for their efforts.
.
As a bit of an aside, we later found
out that Kim Rossmo, featured in the poem The Ballad of Rossmo and Wells,
was actually dating the "primary" nurse who took care of my wife and daughter.
Small world eh?
