A few days after writing the poem, I was working at the Public Information Counter. The young Reserve Policewoman had been located. It seems she had gone away for some fun, but, somehow "neglected" to tell her family she was going. In fact, she had told them that she would be working on a patrol shift. Hmmmm, when she didn't come home at the appointed time, her parents began to worry and started the whole ball rolling by reporting her missing. Well needless to say when an officer goes missing, everyone gets just a little on edge. A massive search was mounted and continued for 48 hours. Everything ended well though.

Anyway, several days later, a delivery driver came into the front counter with a massive balloon bouquet for me. This poem was attached to it and read out by the driver, in front of the 50 or so civilians and police members, there to do business. Everyone had a great laugh and we arranged for the balloons to be passed on to children. Here is her response to my poem.

MISSed

This has been sent

Especially for you

Another mystery

So here's the clue

I went away,

But no one knows...

Who was I with?

Where did I go?

Neither Holmes, nor Watson

Could solve this case

For in front of my peers,

I must save face

So let's just say

It was fun at last

I remain discreet

And bare NO ASS!!!

MISSed
