Gun Control?
.

Detective Denis Thiessen, was working out of town,

A heavy duty case I hear, somewhere was going down.

A Forty cal Beretta, was strapped onto his hip,

Heavy firepower, in case there was a slip.
.

Newly trained with automatic, Denis knew the drill,

To keep the weapon functioning, some gun oil he must spill,

The suspect had been bedded down, the boys could take a rest,

In the morning Denis Thiessen, would face a bigger test.
.

Back to his room, our hero went, before beginning all the fun,

One more thing he had to do, he had to clean his gun.

He field stripped down his weapon, put the parts aside,

Five pieces on the table, he cleaned each one with pride.
.

The story here begins to twist, before he went to bed,

Before he reassembled it, an idea formed instead.

The gun might be more safely left, in pieces all apart,

He'd put it back together, come morning when they start.
.

The night goes by so quickly, now Denis is awake,

He begins to get together, the equipment he will take.

All his gear was loaded, the suspect on the go,

He criss-crossed through the Province, moving to and fro.
.

We don't know where it happened, but somewhere on this ride,

One small piece went missing, the Beretta's action slide.

Somewhere in the Province, as the drum begins to roll,

Detective Denis Thiessen, did his part for gun control.
