A Dark And Stormy Night

.

It was a dark and stormy night, although I really don't recall,

They said I was a cover car, on a rolling stolen call.

I'm told I went down Rupert, turned left, went down the hill,

Somewhere round the corner, a light pole standing still.
.

Stuck driving in a "bubble" car, a Chev Caprice again,

Streets were like a river, the skies were pouring rain.

I do not know what happened next, but I did not get too far,

Before that silly light pole, jumped out and bit my car.
.

The damage was extensive, right by my drivers door,

The frame was snapped and all my stuff, was thrown on the floor.

I'm told it happened late that night, in the morning around three,

At seven-thirty I awoke, to see what I could see.
.

Looking under covers, I saw my uniform was gone,

Now let me see if I can think, just what was going on.

Lying naked in a bed, I looked off to the side,

Two sexy eyes looked back at me, I wondered if I died.
.

The pain brought on reality, my vision slowly came unfogged,

In V.G.H. Emergency, my vital signs were logged.

A CAT scan of my head was done, I was hearing this refrain,

The Tin Man was just singing, if he only had a brain.
.

I'm up and out of hospital, thanks to all who cared,

It seems I came through fairly well, my unit was not spared.

The people out in District Two, I'm told are overjoyed,

To hear that one more bubble car, has just now been destroyed.
