The Dance

.

The call came in about a man, who was breaking up his place,

A quiet night in District Two, several units joined the race.

Upon arrival what they saw, made them wish they’d opted out,

A raging mountain on two legs, was running all about.

.

Shaw and Foster won the bid, their unit was assigned,

To take the guy to hospital, now they wish they had declined.

They got the guy into restraints, and walked him down the stairs,

To the waiting ambulance, and cover cars in pairs.

.

Darren Foster was the guy, to ride shotgun in the back,

Steve Shaw would be the backup man, and follow in their track.

Things were going smoothly, on the trip to U.B.C.,

The Mountain man was screaming, about demons he could see.

.

Steve rode on in total bliss, all the radios were set,

Each on a different channel, to see what he would get.

Zed Ninety Five was playing, a lively little song,

He turned it up quite loudly, down the street he cruised along.

.

One hand was waving to and fro, keeping with the beat,

While Steve was bopping all about, strapped in the driver’s seat.

It seems that in his dancing, the panic button hit,

The Com-Ops on two channels, were about to have a fit.

.

But Steve drove on oblivious, to the panic he had caused,

Until at the gates to U.B.C., Darren quickly paused.

One other cop, who could rouse a crowd, with his song and dance,

Was a guy named Bragagnolo, doing the Macarena prance.
