Weight And Go Boom

.

Peter Ryan came to work, before the sun could rise,

A workout in the weight room, today he’d work his thighs.

His briefcase with his papers, was well and truly stuffed,

And left sitting in the lobby, while Pete worked on getting buffed.

.

Well, someone got suspicious, of that briefcase on the floor,

Thinking maybe that a terrorist, had sneaked inside our door.

Radio was notified, and things got underway,

A bomb call in our lobby, what a way to start a day.

.

The package was examined, their conclusions were unsure,

Did the briefcase just hold paper? Or something not so pure?

Meanwhile Pete was pumping weights, completely unaware,

That his briefcase and its contents, might be blasted in the air.

.

Time was moving quickly, sweat was running free,

The contents of this package, was what they had to see.

Feverishly they worked on it, the minutes ticking past,

They had to get it figured out, before the thing could blast.

.

The strategy was plotted out, the case had all been wired,

Their own device was now in place, just waiting to be fired.

Peter done his workout, on his way to get a car,

He stepped into the lobby, but did not get too far.

.

Just before the trigger dropped, to detonate this case,

Peter walked right up to them, a smile upon his face.

He grabbed the nasty package, and walked out of the room,

Lifting up the bulky weight, before it could go boom.
