News from St. Brendan's...

February Outreach

This month St. Brendan's proposes to send money to help buy shoes for children in the orphanages in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The cost is about $15 per child. It includes an outing to fit the shoes and a stop for ice cream afterwards. The children seldom get outside the orphanage walls, so the outing is a treat. Once all the children have shoes, donations will be used for other needs such as immunizations, schooling, and cooking items.

Also in February, we made Valentine sweets for the Pioneer Home. Each resident received a personalized valentine card with a rose stickpin and cookies for the staff. Wildflower Court was included.

On President's Day, a High Tea is planned for the Pioneer Home residents and in March they'll be given a party celebrating Hawaiian Day.
