Coach Mark Capuano
Coach Mark Capuano is
a graduate of Neville Island High School where he was All WPIAL in football and basketball.
He was All State at Neville Island for two years and All ACC for two years at North Carolina
State University. He was picked as the outstanding lineman in the 1967 Liberty Bowl and played
in the All-American Bowl in Tampa. Also, Mark played in the Blue-Gray All Star game and signed
with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969. He was elected to the All-Century team for the sixties
at N.C. State. He teaches Mathematics at Moon Area High School, where he has been a teacher for
over 32 years. Beginning his 18th year as Head Coach of the Tigers (over two eras), Mark has
compiled a lifetime record of 105-72-4. Coach Capuano was named Parkway Conf Coach of the Year
1982, 1994, 1999, and 2000; has served as the head coach of the Pennsylvania All Stars in the
traditional Penn-Ohio Game; and in 1998 was a finalist for the Pennsylvania Big School Coach
of the Year. Coach Cap's teams have gone to the playoffs in 82, 94, 95, 96, 98, 99, 00 and 2001.
He resides in Cresent Township with his wife Carol,and daughters Jada and Nia.
