Never stay in the
same spot for very long. In most cases it just isn't productive.
Your much better off moving to a new location. Your better off moving
around and supporting your team or holding the oppostion down.
Never just give up!
Even if you run out of paint AND air, and the inside's of your marker start
rolling out of the barrel, you can still help your team. You can
tell them where the enemy is and you are still capable of getting people
out, although that is a little more unlikely...
Stay Alert and Don't
focus too much on a single objective. Far too many paintballer's
do this, at ever level too, its something we can't help, but train yourself
to get as far away from this tradition as you can! Look around and
be aware of what is going on around you. You'll find you won't be
taken out as often! :)
Shoot Smartly!
Don't sit there and hammer at the side of a bunker as all your really doing
is wasting paint. This is of course unless you are a distraction
for other team mates. Try and make your way around to another side
and take the enemy from another angle.
Train yourself to shoot as effectively as
you can while running. It is really quite difficult but it is very
powerful and few players are good at it... :)
This point is mostly for the novice players,
but Don't be afraid to ask people for tips,
and accept criticism. Although you might not like to hear it, if
you choose to listen, you will become a better player for it.
ALWAYS follow your
team captain's plan! There will be times when you don't
agree with what he/she has to say but as long as your team is organized
and is following a battle plan, you'll do much better than if everyone
is running around trying to be a hero...
This goes out to players of all levels!
BE HONEST! This is paintball!
I believe it is a game of honor! Don't try and stay in the game if
you know a ball broke on you. Wiping is for people who suck and if
your honest, you'll only have to wait a few minutes until the next game
starts. It's much better than getting to be known as a cheater by
everyone at your field, and you'll be able to sleep well at night... :)
If you'd like to help portray the sport of
paintball as non-militaristic, basically by refraning from wearing camo,
then still Wear Dark Colors, its much
more enjoyable when you have to search for your opposition... :)
Don't fire over the
top of a bunker unless you really have to. If you think
really hard, you'll realize that you need to expose more of your head to
look over the top of the bunker than you do if you want to fire from one
of the sides... when there is more of you exposed, there is more of you
to hit... :)
Never remove your
mask on the field for ANY reason.
Don't go outlaw paintballing!
Support your local fields so the sport will grow and expand!
