Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
500g Butter, 5 Eggs, 125ml Sugar, 62 ml Brandy, 1 cup Flour, 2 Tsps Baking Powder,
100g Hazelnut Chocolate Bar
Syrup
1 cup Sugar, 1 cup Water
Prepare syrup - bring to boil and cool while preparing cake.
Preparation
Melt Chocolate with Butter and Sugar - allow to cool.
Beat eggs very well, add brandy and continue beating well till light.
Add flour, baking powder and butter
mixture to eggs, mixing gently.
Pour into well greased baking tin.
Bake at 180ºC for 30 minutes.
Pour cold syrup gently over cake and allow to cool.
Topping
Melt 100g Hazelnut Chocolate Bar, add a few drops oil to thin chocolate and pour over
cake and serve. |
