Wilson's Chapel, or the Methodist Church is situated on Cullison's Ridge 0.5 miles from the northern township line. The church was originally organized at the home of Sharack Cullison. For many years, members met in each other's log cabins. These members included John Almack, James Crouthers, Jesse Cullison and Thomas Cullison. In 1832, the original log church was erected. In 1857, a second structure was built. It was 30' x 40' and cost a total of 1,100. Rev. Harvey Wilson was the preacher at that time and when the church was dedicated, it received his name. That structure stood until it burnt in ______. Now, all that remains is a monument where the church stood.
