Beaus Discovered
Two Beaufighters have been discovered in 12ft of fresh water in a South Australian lake. Said to be fairly intact, they were lost on a wartime training flight. In addition, the RAAF Museum has acquired an extensive holding of Beaufighter parts from collector Rob Grienert; it now has about 80 per cent of what will be needed to build a static example.--Aeroplane, March 1999
