Hermes Trismegistus
We now have our own Corpus Hermeticum in seventeen seperate books. This is such an important series of documents in the study of basic Hermeticism and Rosicrucianism, that I decided to publish our own, rather than using links to another website. Using another site, makes it difficult to integrate this information to our new search engine, as well as being intrusive to the other site. Now all the information in the Corpus Hermeticum will be included on our site and can be used easily by our search engine. To check this new feature, you may click here.

Last month I announced that we had installed the new Amber Alert Ticker on our website (above). Is there any thing new on this site?
I have added a new Internal Search Engine on this web site that replaces the old one that was not very satisfactory. The new one is actual site search technology by FreeFind.com. It is very sensitive to finding any part of the site. It requires very little maintenance as did the old one. This one has three features that I mention as links above, It spiders the site when necessary, preparing for Internal Searches, prepares a Site Map, and automatically maintains a What's New of all new additions to the site. If you want to try it out use the three links on the heading above for this purpose. This is the same company that supplies our ChangeDetection that will notify you, if you sign up, when a new Newsletter is placed on the site.
For Those That Do Not Like Vegetables:
Since we have an article "Good Health For Students of Mysticism" on this site, we get some complaints that some students cannot eat five servings of vegetables a day. According to the food pyramide, we should have 3 to 5 servings of vegetables a day, and 3 to 4 servings of fruit a day. Most people like fruit, but not all like vegetables. May I make a suggestion that would take care of the problem. Why not make toss salads made up of both vegetables and fruits. The fruit will offset the bland taste of some of the vegetables. You could start by adding berries and other fruit to the vegetables at first, you could experiment until you get the ideal and tastey mixture. You probablly would have no trouble consuming five servings of such a mixture a day. You should eat meat sparingly and increase your use of vegetables and fruit. This is important to maintain your optimum health.
As we mentioned last week about the first Imperator of AMORC, Dr. H. Spencer Lewis, going through transition at the age of 56 years of age. He was an outstanding Mystic and developer of AMORC, but just think about what he could have accompolished if he had lived as long as his son, Ralph Lewis, second Imperator of AMORC. Mystics and Mystical students have to remember that they must take care of their physical body in addition to their Spiritual body. Both are important if we are to reach our maximum age before transition.

Dr. Harvey Spencer Lewis
1883 - 1939
Imperator of AMORC: 1914 - 1939
I changed the photograph of Dr. Lewis on the "Four Imperators" page. I did not like the old photo as it was slightly blurred. My original purpose of writing here was to call your attention to this change, but I began to mentally reminisce about the dates and I must add the following personal information: If I bore you, just go to the next paragraph. I remember writing a letter to AMORC wanting to join the organization when I was in high school. I received a letter telling me that I could not join until I was twenty one years of age ( I believe it is 18 now). It was actually signed by Dr. Lewis. I notice he passed through transition in 1939, the year I graduated from high school. I actually joined AMORC years later, in 1956 under Imperator Ralph Lewis, Dr. Lewis' son. You can't help but notice that Dr. Lewis was actually 56 years of age when he went through transition. He gave good advice to members to improve their health and life span, but he did not heed his own advice. He over worked for years and did not get enough rest. He was very fortunate that his son was also working with him and was also devoted to Rosicrucianism and AMORC; able to continue his fathers work. Ralph Lewis did an excellent job for fifty years as Imperator of AMORC. He had good mangement skills that allowed him to increase the membership through out the world. Dr. Lewis' skills were exactly what AMORC needed in the early yeas, and later the skills of Ralph Lewis were what AMORC needed. Both men were talented in different ways. Dr. Lewis was in many ways an Alchemical Mystic and Ralph was a Philosophical Mystic. Both are important in Rosicrucianism. They both wrote numerous books leaning slightly toward their skills as I mentioned above. Both Imperators conributed greatly to making Rosicrucianism as great and important as it is today. Enough reminiscing, Lets continue.

This is a very old mystical symbol known as the Rosicrucian: Hermetic, Alchemical Cross. (Candle holders are added to simulate the arrangement in the Sanctum.) The basic cross and rose predates Christianity. This beautiful colored Hermetic Cross is transcribed with grateful appreciation to the Hermetic Fellowship. The Rosicrucian Alchemical Lamen as above, has been placed on Part 3 or the "Navigation" Home. It appears better there because of the background color. How many times have you seen this cross on the internet? Probably a lot, but do you ever see any credit to the Hermetic Fellowship? This symbol is a very ancient one, but the Fellowship prepared a nice new one, basically the same, but better structured and having beautiful colors. People seem to "take" it as if it was their own and place it on their websites without proper permission or even giving credit to the Fellowhip. They have been very lenient, but I think that proper credit should be given to them. The Fellowship has some very informative and interesting articles on Hermeticism and almost all the subdivisions of Mysticsm. Pay them a visit when you can. The Virtual Library of Mysticism
The "Virtual Library of Mysticism" from this site is an excellent way to study and do research on Mysticism, Comparative Religion, New Thought Movement, etc. It is a convenient area to go when you want to find out more about Mysticism and related subjects. Home - Part 3 - "Navigation" Changes:
I have been trying to make navigation easier and improve "Home" in three parts. I have added the Rosicrucian: Hermetic Lamen in Part Three. I have tried to credit the Hermetic Fellowship for the use of their colorful improved Lamen. Of course, we know that this lamen is a very old icon, older than Christianity, but the Hermetic Fellowship has added color and made it more beautiful. The fellowship has been very lenient, as you can see through out the internet. This, in reality, is not a free domain item. If we use it we should acknoweldge that it is their icon. If you click on the lamen, above, it will take you to the Hermetic Fellowhip. Pay them a visit when you can. They have a wonderful site with much information on Hermeticism and Mysticism in general. The new Home Link "gizmo" will now always appear at the bottom of these columns on the left. It will pretty much displace the columns on the right of this newsletter. I have not had enough time to redo this area on the right, but I will do so by the next issue. The space will be used as a regular part of the newsletter instead of an area for links.
Music On Web Site:
The addition of music to the web pages remains about the same. I have removed some of the previous ones because of copyright laws. I have replaced them with "safe music" in many cases. I intend to add music to almost all pages, but it is a slow process. I have come to the conclusion that music "adds" an emotional element to the page, if you choose it carefully. If you care to give me feedback on this, please do so. I am, by no means, an expert on the subject. Thanks!

Music Installed???
I have installed the midi music on several of the pages. I probably will add music to a few more pages when I can find appropriate tunes. I tried to match the music to the page. That is difficult, I had to use intuition in most cases. It seems like unfamiliar music is the best on most pages, but in a few cases, familiar is better. I would say I am 85% complete. Let me know what you think?
Home Page Changes Will Be Obvious To All - "What's this?" can save the day.
I finally decided to divide the Home Page into three parts: Preface, Introduction, and Navigate. This helps to cut down the loading time, but not as much as I would like. If you have any trouble with the new changes, please click on "What's this?" and you will get the full story. These new changes will allow me to add more to the Home Page later without bogging down the whole system.

Music - Music - Music - - - For Certain Pages!
Don't be surprised at the audio on this Newsletter. I have the Midi craze right now, so even this is permissable right now. I do not think (????) that other issues will have music. This midi is by Gregor Rozman known as Atlantis. I am using this theme on what was once one of the entrance pages, but is now a link on the part one of the Home Page. Things are changing. If, by chance, this music annoys you, you can go to the bottom of this newsletter to the controls, and turn it off. Thats fair enough!
Music has been added to part one and two of the Home Page, the page on God, and yes the new entrance page known as the Portal. As I mentioned above, the "What does a wizard have to do with Mysticism?" also has music - which is the tune on this newsletter, Atlantis. I am experimenting right now, so, expect changes. Feedback will be in order. I am trying to choose midi tunes that are appropriate for certain pages. Perhaps on the Home Pages the tune should be changed occassionaly. Music can compliment a page, but it can also have the opposite effect. One thing is for sure, you can always turn it off. I will be awaiting feedback from you. Thanks.
Gregory Rozman - Composer of Atlantis
Gregor Rozman composes Mystical Music. I will be using two of his creations on the site, but there is an abundance of midi music available on the internet. Not all of the music selected has to be mystical in nature. Probably it is better on some pages, not to have tunes that are too familar. Mr. Rozman's music is interesting, but some of his creations are too repetitive. In my estimation "Altantis" is his best creation.

Egregore Page: Author Of Link Adds Post Scriptum.
Author Soror L. S. Bernstein has added a post scriptum (2004 A.D.) to her article that is a link on our Egregore Page. It sheds more light on the word Egregor/e. She has offered us the right to copy the article, but I had trouble with several Hebrew letters, so I decided to remain linked to another web site that contains the article. I have the Hebrew Language update from MSN so I will eventually figure it out. I want to personally thank the Author for advising me of the further research that she has done on the Egregor/e. Author/Owner Of "Meister Eckart of Hockheim" Finally Discovered, Five Years Later:
Five years ago I was looking for information on Meister Eckart on various search engines. I was trying to prepare a page on this Mystic for our web site. Suddenly, I ran across exactly what I wanted. It was floating around the internet with no author and not attached to any web site. I decided to use it with a notice that I was looking for the author/owner of the article. It took five years, but finally I received an e-mail from the owner. He has a Mysticism web site in Holland. He authorized that I could continue using the article; didn't want his name on the article, only a banner for his site on the page. I complied with his request until I later found that there was an illustrated article on his site that was "unsuitable" for a site on Mysticism. I immediately removed the banner as I did not want to link to his site. His article on Meister Eckart was excellent, but his
other article was not. After careful deliberation on the matter, I decided to keep the Eckhard article with an appended notice, restricting it's use for educational purposes only, not to be copied for any other use.

ETM Website News
I am now using a Web Ledger or log that I will use after making any changes to the website. It will be in the form of a diary. This will save space in the newsletter, as the link for the Web Jounal will always appear on the top of the link area on the right of this newsletter. Actually the Jounal will become a part of the Newsletter through linkage. It will also be available to other webmasters for comment and discussion. It will serve two purposes at the same time.

We have added two works of art by Mark Millmore to our Embark To Mysticism Home page. I feel that we were a little deficient in the ancient Egyptian flair. We owe a lot to ancient Egypt for the development of Hermeticism and especially Rosicrucianism. I have also divided the Home Page into two parts in order to cut down the download time. We have also made a few minor changes to some other pages. We have tried to make the lightning srike appear more realistic on the second splash page. It still leaves something to be desired, but it is some better. Click here. Maybe, we might have a computer buff that might have a better idea.

The links that we had in the past on the Rosicrucian/Hermetic Maifestios have been too unattractive to read, so I tried to make the Fama and the Confessio pages more attractive to the mystical student, as these are important to the study of Mysticism. The other manifesto and documents I left the way they were, but I placed all of them on one page: "The Rosicrucian Manifestos". To view them now, click here.
