ZEN GARDEN
CHA-NIWA GARDEN
This is a traditional Japanese garden meant for meditation and evoking tranquillity and a refuge from everyday life. It contains raked sand, symbolizing the sea and rivers, and rock groupings representing mountains or islands.
A "tea garden", traditionally used in Japan to create the right mood for the tea ceremony. Moss, shrubs and trees predominate; the tea garden does not contain many showy flowers or strong scents, making for an atmosphere of simplicity and creating the illusion of being in the woods.

TSUBO-NIWA GARDEN
INDOOR GARDEN
Only a few square metres can provide hours of relaxation. This private niche is tucked into a very narrow space.
A small version of a full-size garden, displayed on a living room floor or a patio, these gardens can contain anything found in a regular size garden, including rocks, plants, and running water.

BONTEI GARDEN
COURTYARD GARDEN
This is a miniature "tray garden". It is built into a flat tray to sit on a coffee table or bookshelf, and can be designed with pebbles, rocks, plants or water. A tray garden is also an ideal window display for businesses.
A "courtyard garden" is usually enclosed by walls or hedges, and is an extension of your living space. All the natural elements of light, shadow, wind, sound, color and scent are enclosed in this space, creating an oasis of beauty and tranquillity.
