George was one of the residents of Boston, Mass. to whom land was granted at Mount Wollaston, which was agterwards the town of Braintree, now the city of Quincy. Records show that he was granted 20 acres of land and that there were 5 in his family, indicating he had 3 children, February 24, 1639.

Tisdale died 14-Sep-1874, Steuben County, New York. He went with his father to Monson and thence to Readsboro, VT. He became a taxpayer in Readsboro in 1822 and continued until 1831, according to the tax-lists. He voted first Sept. 2, 1822 at Readsboro and was admitted freeman in that year as Tisdale, Jr. He quit-claimed his property March 4, 1829, and went West about that time. He settled in Steuben County, New York.

Born in Canisteo, June 16, 1933, a daughter of Guy and Fern Drake McMindes, she was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, class of 1951. She had made her home in Greenwood since 1962. Surviving are her husband, Lowell S. Nolan, Jr. to whom she had been married 45 years. One sister--Christina Wing of Williamson, N.Y.; 1 brother- Paul (Nancy) McMindes of Canisteo and several nieces and nephews. The family was present to receive friends on Wednesday at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo where funeral services were held Thursday. Rev. Osceola Wharton officiating.
