Oh behold
what a lovely sight
luminosity radiating
through the darkness of night

I know it's so far
but I feel it so near
It's glowing perfection
is vividly clear

For a moment in time
It's light grew dimmer
Just idle in space
not even a glimmer

Then all of a sudden
That fire returned
with heat so intense
that blackness was burned

and still to this day
this star burns so bright
bringing me joy
upon every sight

although it may flicker
as any star may
I will still love it
that's all I can say.
