I believe that I was a member of the 1/8th Artillery for one or two months early in 1968.  I was the Fire Direction Officer of the battery that killed 103 outside our perimeter.  We took a number of mortar rounds, then, when we went to shoot a fire mission for a nearby infrantry unit, we discovered that our aiming stakes had been knocked down.  We fired the mission anyway, dispursing the attack on the infrantry, but diverting that attack back upon ourselves.  Sadly the attack was at the point of you 105mm howitzers, which we lowered and fired time fuzes set at 0.2 seconds.   I don't know if you have any infomation on individual battery activity for the 1/8th artillery, or if you are just trying to start a web site.    Would appreciate hearing from you.
