I'm a new guy for the group, so I will fill you all in. I served in the Army from Jan '96 to Jan '00. From July '96 to July '97 I was with A/38th FA in Camp Stanley, Korea. Went to White Sands Missile Range from Aug '97 to Nov '98. Then I went to Fort Sill, OK, where I served with 2/18th FA from Dec '98 to Jan '00. Around '96 2/18 became a MLRS (Multi Launch Rocket System) Battalion. They were outfitted to fire missles and rockets and when I left, 2/18 we the ready MLRS battalion for the Army. They shipped a platoon to Kosovo in mid '99. I came in the Army as a 13B, but after being asked to switch over and help fill voids, I became a 13M. SO I too am a gun bunny and a rocket jockey. Currently I am serving with the US Coast Guard at Station Calumet Harbor, Chicago, IL. If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask me. I dont have any pictures of my time in the Army, but I have alot of memories. "Never upset a Wookie." - Han Solo Derrick K. Bowman aka Boner/Esterk/Drej
