Altar Flowers

Flowers on the Altar are given to the Glory of God and in in memory of Kathryn’s mother, Emma Harding Jackson and Paul’s parents, Jens Knud Larsen and Leontine Capedepon DeRocha by Paul and Kathryn Larsen.

In Appreciation

The month of August marks the 30th anniversary of Frank Acker becoming our parish sexton. For three decades Frank has provided loyal and dedicated service to help maintain our facilities and beautiful grounds. As much of his work for us is done in the late afternoons and on Saturday, it’s possible that many of our parishioners see only the results of his hard work and not Frank himself – and thereby are deprived of the opportunity of thanking him for all that he does. All parishioners are encouraged, sometime during the month of August, to drop Frank a card or note expressing appreciation for his past and continuing service to our parish.

    Frank’s address is:

    Frank Acker
    P.O. Box 907, Pearlington, MS 39572-0907.

In recognition of Frank’s service, the Vestry has authorized requesting that the Hancock County Historical Society designate one of the eligible unnamed trees on the grounds as “Frank Acker”.

In addition, during the month of August, there will be a bowl at the back of the church for those parishioners who would like to express their appreciation to Frank with a monetary gift.

Tent Meeting Transportation: A bus has been chartered to provide transportation to and from the Gray Center for coastal residents on August 20. The bus will leave St. Peter’s by-the-Sea in Gulfport at 5:30 a.m. on August 20 and will return to St. Peter’s around 8:30 p.m.
