Comenius-Socrates project year 2

A photo album from the Thessaloniki visit

Due to our project programmed visits, the school visited the city of Thessaloniki which is a ''live'' museum, full of sites with archeological and cultural interest. Places that were visited were the ''Seven tower castle'' (Eptapyrgion), the Vatopedion monastery, the church of Saint Demetrios, the Byzantine museum and the ''White Tower''. In this order photographs are provided with ''no comments'', because ''...a picture is worth more than a thousand words...''

Activities of the 3d year (2003-2004)

During the last year of the project visits have been planned due to our schedule. Our school visited Thessaloniki and the Museum of the Macedonian Fight. By the instructions of a guide we saw many interesting pictures and articles which were related to those years of the Macedonian fight against the Bulgarian Commitagees. There were also many interesting pictures of the fights for the liberation of Macedonia by the Greek army on October 1912.
