J.T. has been a part of our staff for a while now. He has never had much to say, Just sat back and encouraged both of us on this site. Telling us that we can do this, When we would get down about the site, As well as other things in our life.
He is a young man who has devoted his life to God and the things that God would have him to do in life. And now he has made the choice to devote his life and career further now to our Country.
On May 26, 1999 J.T. got excepted into the United States Army. He decided to join the Army after much prayer and consideration of his life. He has been in training for a few months now. Working out and studying the things that the Army requires before actually going to Boot Camp. He worked long and hard. Ran many miles, Lifted many weights and studied till his brain collapsed for the day when he would ship off to Fort Benign Georgia.
Well that day is finally here. July 26, 1999. At 11:30 a.m. J.T. ships off to boot camp. He is excited to say the least. But said he is a bit nervous about it all. After all he has never really been away from his family.
Our Church has prayed both with and for him. And we know that he will be just fine. J.T. has always been a Christian, But recently devoted 110% to Christ his personal Lord and Savior. He has been active in our Church, Ushering, Cleaning up the Church as well as being a right hand to the Pastor. Remodeling the Church, Sunday School rooms and the Church Kitchen.
J.T. will be missed very much. Yes tears have been shed because he is a valuable part of not only our Church, But here at home. He has helped out when nobody else could or would. We will not miss him just for his helping out, But we will also miss his smiles and laughter around the house.
J.T. is a big jokester. When it gets quiet around here and things aren't going so well, J.T. is some where in the shadows just waiting to crack you up with laughter, At any cost to his "innocent" reputation.
Pray for J.T. that he will go in the direction that God has for his life. Just call his name out to God anytime you think of his name. He needs our prayers, Especially in the next three months. He will be going through some very rough training. And anyone who has ever been in the service, You know how things can get you down. Those you hang around with seem to rub off on you. Let's pray that J.T. can uphold his commitment to God that he has made.
J.T. we love you buddy. We miss you already and you aren't quite gone. Think about us every chance you get and know that we are very proud of you for making a commitment to God first, and then to your Country. You have been blessed with a good family, As your Grandpa always told you. But we have been blessed by having you in our Family. You are worth more then words could ever say. Stick with God J.T. you won't ever go wrong. He has a plan for your life, Let Him develop it in His time.
