Hear ye the words of the Star Goddess, She , in the dust of whose feet lay the hosts of heaven, and whose body encircles the universe:
I, who am the beauty of the earth, the white moon among the stars, the mystery of the waters, call unto thy soul, arise and come to me.
I am the soul of nature, who gives life to the universe. From me all life proceeds, and to me all life must return. Before my face, beloved of Gods and
men, let your innermost soul be enfolded in the rapture of the infinite.
Let my worship be within the heart that rejoices, for behold all acts of love and pleasure shall be my rituals.
Therefore, let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence.
Seek me, but know, that all of thy searching shall avail thee naught, unless thou know the mystery,
If that which thou seekest is not found within it will never be found without.
for I have been with thee since the dawn of time, and I am that which is obtained at the end of desire.
The beautiful charge was written by Doreen Calliente, the mother of modern Witchcraft. Unfortunately I do not know who to credit for the charge of the God.
Charge of the God
Hear ye the words of the Great Father, who of old was called Osiris, Zeus, Thor, Cernunnos, Lugh; by many other names is he known:
My law is harmony with all things. Mine is the secret that opens the gates of life, mine is the dish of salt from the earth that is the body of Cernunnos, that is the eternal circle of rebirth.
I give the knowledge of life everlasting, beyond death, the promise of renewal and rebirth. I am the sacrifice, the father, my protection blankets the earth.
Hear the words of the Laughing God, whose laughter stirs the winds, whose voice calls forth the seasons to change upon the face of the earth.
I who am Lord of the hunt, God of the forests, power of the light, sun among the skies of azure, secret of the flame call to you to arise and come forth. I am the flesh of the earth and all its races. Through me, all life
begins, stills, and is again reborn.Let my worship therefore be of the body. All acts of willing sacrifice will be my rituals.
Let there be within you desire and fear, anger and weakness, joy and peace, awe and longing, for these are a part of the mystery within you, each holds a place within yourself, and within me. All beginninngs seek endings, all endings have beginnings. So shall it be eternally.
