These rituals are my own, and are not for everyone. It is simply a way to share what I am, and what I believe.
Walking a natural path is not for everyone, and take great care before you choose it. It has been at times difficult, and challenging.
Before you choose it think long and well of your reasons . Assure yourself they are YOUR reasons, and not anothers, and that it is a path you are able to walk.
The traditional way to give yourself time to decide is to wait a year and a day, during which you study, and meditate. When that period is ended then you may say truly that this is what you wish for your life.
Factually I did not choose To be Wiccan. Wicce chose me. I was called, if you will, to be and to do what I am . It has not always been easy, but it has been rewarding. In many cases Christians do not have the understanding or knowledge, to accept this path.., and others do not approve, nor believe, and offer ridicule rather than the support that at times we all require.
If this is what you eventually choose, My advice is to become active in a local league..to do things cleaner, better, kinder, to believe and practice what it is we say we live. There is no better way to show who and what we are, to prove to the world at large that we are not the"stuff nightmares are made of" but rather a group who choose a different walk through life, which can be taken side by side with their own..
WLPA, the Wicce League for Public Awareness promotes the religion, and is workign with legislators to see that wicce may one day take its place as a sanctioned religion. Freedom of Religion means FREEDOM for everyone, not a select group, be they majority or minority

What you will read are the basic rites or rituals of wicce, some of which are my own writing, others gathered from various sources. They are accompanied by some informations regarding the uses of stones, gems, herbs and incenses in the craft. If you have questions or information that I might have missed, please email me so that I may include it..

RITE OF CONSECRATION

Consecration of self, or another:
Cast a circle, call the quarters, and using salt water, mark the sign of the cresent moon in the center of the forehead, the third eye.
Walk the quarters, introducing yourself to the elements.
"She/He, who stands before you, in this place between the worlds,
do pledge my service to the old ways, to the ancient Gods,
entering your sight and service of my own will and desire.
Blessed Realms may I bring with me harmony and peace to you
Grant me truth and light, help me always to strive for balance
and justice, unity and understanding, kindness and compassion to all races.

CONSECRATION OF THE TOOLS OR GEMS

As I serve with honor, so shall these, by they grace

CASTING THE CIRCLE
Before you begin to cast your circle, set up the altar.
It is not wise to leave the circle, or to remove its protection until you have finished your rite.
Holding a wand, or a sprig of oak or Rowan, extend it outward, walking a circle 3 times.
The first, will be silently, seeing in your mind the wand creating a circle of light and vast energy.
The second pass speak"I cast this circle of protection from all that may seek to do harm to myself or to my rite. I will draw within it only those energies and spirits correct for the labor at hand, and most right for my person.
The third pass"I create these sacred spaces, dedicate them , and the achievements therein, to the God and Goddess.
Call the quarters, Invoke the God and Goddess
**NOTE: To End, or open the circle walk it, counterclockwise,Speaking:
"I relinquish this circle into the powers of the God and Goddess, sent to ask our bidding. The circle remains:undone, yet not unbroken.

CALLING OF THE QUARTERS
Facing East:
I call forth the forces of air.
Breathe the breath of life upon us, let the gentle winds of change remove what is past, and draw to us our tomorrows.
Facing South
I call forth the forces of fire,
Warm us with your light, burn away our sorrows, shine the rays of peace upon our shoulders, and grant to us growth.
Facing West
I call forth the forces of water.
Wash away my impure thoughts, let flow the tides of nature, inward to cleanse my heart.
Facing NorthI call upon the forces of earth
Renew us, strengthen us, open before us new paths to tomorrow, carry our lives upon your everchanging shoulders.

INVOCATION OF THE GODDESS

Blessed Goddess, Queen of the Gods, Mistress of Old, you who are the lamp of the night, the mother of the earth and its races, May you witness and bless my rite, cast your power upon this circle unending.

INVOCATION OF THE GOD

Blazing Lord, King of the Gods, Lord of the Sun,Lover of the Goddess, Hear our Call. Witness and Bless this rite, Cast your power and might upon the circle, unending.

GROUNDING RITUAL

After Each Rite or Casting, You should ground your energies. This is but one of many ways to accomplish this.
Bending to the earth, placing both palms flat on the ground. Feel your energy ebb speaking"Yours is the gift of power and energy, into your safekeeping do I return it with thanks and Blessing

DRAWING DOWN THE MOON

The practice of gathering the energies of a natural force and using them to heighten your own is known as drawing. This may be done with many aspects of nature, but is most frequently done with the full moon.
The moon should ideally be drawn down in ritual, in the protection of the circle, but the rite may be done at other times as well, although it is best if your concentration is fully on what you are attempting.
Some use the athame(ritual knife, used in gathering energies, or focusing the same) I however do not, preferring to use instead the wand(a carven oak) Lifting it overhead, concentrate your thoughts and energies on what you wish to do. Slowly raise the arms to the overhead position, envisioning a white circle of energy gathering around the moon. Bringing the arms down, but extended from the body, aim the tool directly at the midsection, as you see it in your mind, a white stream of dim light at the wands tip. "I draw upon the power of the Mistress of the night, take it to my body in gratitude , merged with myself, power, purity and light of the Goddess" You will in this way increase your own powers and energies, **an increase not to be taken lightly** When you have completed the ritual, be sure to ground your energies.

BALANCING RITUAL

This is very similar to the Calling of the Quarters, with some minor differences.and is always done Facing East "I am grounded in the center of my being"
Visualizing the energies of the earth "I am supported by the power of below" Visualizing the God and Goddess"I am guided by the powers of above.
Visualizing the unity of spirit and self"I am balanced in the axis of my being"
Extend a hand toward the East, making contact with the elements"I am inspired by the powers of air"
Visualizing a wholly open mind"I am enlightened by the powers of the fire"
Visualizing healing and cleansing"I am renewed by the powers of the waters"
Visualizing the caring of mother Earth"I am nurtured by the powers of the earth"

GEMSTONES IN RITES

There are many gemstones which assist in varied aspects of a ritual. In Christianity, water, or gold, was often thought to hold power, particularly water from Lourdes, so there is basis even in the non Pagan faiths for elemental aides to a ceremony or rite. Below you will find the aspects of certain gems as they are recorded through history, and how they maybe used.
