Acting boiled down to just six lessons. You won't learn everything from this one book, but it is helpful.

You need study what ACTING is first--then read this book.

Sandy Meisner -- very popular acting coach with practical ways to grow your acting talents...many famous actors have trained with him.
Speak with Distinction

Eidth Skinner is the grand old lady of how to use your voice.  Her technique is legendary...the book is a little expensive. Check your local  library!
The Craft of Comedy
Athene Seyler,Stephen Haggard.  Routledge Chapman, 1990.

Llittle book of  letters between an older actress and a young student about comedy.  Language is a little old fashioned--the letters were written in the 1930's--but what they discuss is still true today.  College material.

Smart man with some very good tips.
Acting in Television Commercials for Fun & Profit
Squire Fridell.   Crown Publishing Group, 1995.

Squire is the King of the Toyota commercials of a few years back. Very good book if you want to audition for commericals.

Considered by many as the BEST book on how to audition. Written by a Broadway casting director  whose advice works for all mediums.
