Some More Scenery
This is looking west from the west end of the Peters Creek canyon, about mile 30 of the Petersville Road. Unfortunately washed out in this photo, Mt. Hunter is normally visible beyond the mountains across the valley, which are the Dutch Hills. Gopher Mountain is the one on the left of the valley.

And here we have a view of some of the plants we use for revegetation and reclamation.
There are wild
violets, salmonberries, roseroot, willow, fireweed, blueberries,
dwarf dogwood, wild geraniums, grasses, and more. We collect the
seeds, or in the case of willow, for example, we just take
shoots, for they root readily, and sometimes starter cubes from
established areas.
This is a
lone spruce. There aren't many trees in the area for some
unexplained reason. This one looked like it had had a hard life.
