Becomings are located at every place desiring machines are. Part of the flow of desire is to enter into relationship with other machines, external machines that flow into it or break the flows of desire. This is not identification or a simple exchange of traits, charcteristics. Rather, the boundary of the bee and the flower are deterritorialized in relation to each other when the pollen is transfered. The "attraction" the bee feels is to hook his pollen-getting machine into the pollen producing machine. The bee beecomes flower. Likewise schizophrenic subjects who behave like camels, or swallow the moon are not "acting" out repressed desires, or some Oedipal scheme that makes of every pencil he shoves into his mouth for sheer pleasure a penis. Rather becomings continually produce desire and hook up with the social machines into which their desire can flow. Becoming animal, becoming woman, becoming child, becoming minutarian, becoming molecular.
