Realism
Mirrors

It's common sense that the world is there. It's real. A tree is a tree and when I say tree it points to trees. Real trees. The ones that were always there. Will always be there.
Or on the other hand: does every society have a notion of tree? How are trees different than forests, shrubs, how tall do they have to be to be trees what about the different kinds of trees, are fake trees trees, are chopped down trees trees or are they wood? Isn't tree then something defined socially and relationally rather than a pre-given treeness.
