Chapter 10: .Pictures...on.the.Floor???.

"Taylor! Come here!" Mackie yelled.

Taylor walked into the adjacent room and saw Mackie, Jessica, and Avery sitting on the floor of the play room with pictures everywhere. A song entered Taylor's head. "Pictures on the wall...c'mon c'mon everywhere I stare..." He wondered what group sang that song.

"Sit down right here. We saved you a spot," Avery said, patting the vacant spot on the rug next to her..

"Okay, what's this about?" Taylor asked as he sat down.

"We're going to help you remember, Tay!" Jessica chimed.

"Yup! First, we'll look at pictures. Then we'll watch videos!" Mackie exclaimed excitedly.

"Sounds like fun to me," Tay said playing along. There he sat enduring the tales his younger siblings had to share. They went through every picture they could possibly find: Mayfest, hanging out in the garage, baby pictures scattered in there randomly, drawings, church events, pictures at the zoo, parties, memorabilia, keepsakes, ticket stubs, more pictures, videos of various appearances, recordings of songs that never made it on an album...you name it, they saw it. It was like a cheesy "This Is Your Life" episode.

"Wow, thanks guys! That was very nice of you," Taylor said, as the bright sunlight shining through the window gleamed against his luminous, white teeth.

"So do you remember yet?" Jessica eagerly asked, crawling over to Tay.

"Yeah, a little bit!" he lied. "I'm sure I'll remember soon. You sure did help me, though."

"Anything for my big brother," Avie cooed sweetly, causing Tay to chuckle.

"Well I think I'm gonna go grab a bite to eat..." Taylor hinted, wanting to escape the presence of the younger kids. It's not that he didn't enjoy their company, but there was only so much company he could handle.

"But...but...but Tay!!" Mackie stuttered as he gripped Tay's muscular forearm so tight his brother's arm turned to a ghostly white shade.

"Hey, you've got quite a grip there!" Tay said, dumbfounded at this little boy's strength.

"I know...but you can't go, Tay. We're not finished! I still have to tell you about ME!! Oh...yeah...Jessica and Avery, too...I guess," Mackie said, averting his eyes from his sisters after stealing an eyeful of stares penetrating through him.

'Oh boy, this is going to be a loooooooooooooonnnngggg day' Tay sighed to himself. "How about this. I'm craving a huge dish of soft, freezing cold ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream. Sine you were so good to me, what do you say I make one for you guys, too?" Tay bribed, silently praying all the ingredients could be found in the realm of the Hanson kitchen.

"Yeah!!!" all three shouted in unison. They dropped the pictures that had been so important to them before like a tree lets its leaves fall during autumn days. They raced ahead of Tay, anxiously waiting for him to fulfill the pleads of their rumbling stomachs.

Taylor seemed to be getting better to everyone in his unfortunate situation, despite the fact that Taylor knew his memory was growing worse by the minute, but no one realized, except maybe Isaac and Zac, that it was the complete opposite. Taylor had no idea how much conflict and disaster would be approaching in the next few days.
