Saving Animals with
 Veterinary Emergencies Fund

In a national study, it was determined that veterinarian's delinquent accounts are among the highest of any profession.  Collection costs are exorbitant, making it impractical to prosecute most former clients.  Therefore local veterinarians will not treat an animal if the owner is unable to pay in advance.  These animals suffer needlessly, not to mention their distraught owners.

The SAVE Fund is for those people whose pets have suffered a medical emergency and will not be treated by local veterinarians because they are unable to pay. Animal Aid Network’s program administrator will look at each case individually to determine if AAN is able to assist.

Funds must be approved prior to treatment.  The amount of assistance will be determined by the nature of the emergency and the funds available.  All recipients of SAVE Funds will be asked to sign a contract stating that they will repay the funds in a reasonable amount of time, so that AAN may help others in the same situation.

Animal Aid Network will assist with the cost of treatment only if funds are available.
