The cabinet is made to the precise dimensions of the standard casing in which the No.10 outfit was supplied in the mid-seventies. The sides are made of Burma teak ply and finished off with teak veneer. The drawer frames are made of solid Burma teakwood with teak ply bottoms and partitions. The drawers run on pairs of delrin rollers recessed into the cabinet inside walls. The entire cabinet is polished to a mirror shine. The gold lettering is prototypical in style and size. The drawers would be fitted with gold-plated brass knobs in the size and shape of the 1" plastic pulley with boss. A joy to behold, touch, and use!

This cabinet can be provided to special order and will be shipped ONLY by postal courier to ensure safe handling and expeditious delivery. As this is a special item, please allow some time for shipment after confirming your purchase.

SIDEPLATE MOTOR

This motor has been developed as a more powerful alternative to the obsolete E20R and E15R sideplate motors. The specifications are:

  • The motor is a product of CANON™, Japan.

  • Supply 3-24vDC. At 12v no load runs at 2800 rpm drawing 300 mA. At 3v runs at about 15 rpm. Rated at 3A at 12v which is the recommended voltage.

  • Case length 2-7/8''.

  • Case dia 1-1/2''.

  • Shaft 4mm stainless steel 1-1/8'' long with integral precision ball bearing.

  • Mount: 4 tapped 6BA holes at 1'' spacing 90 deg apart on both faces.

  • Fitted between heavy gauge 10x5h textured black finish sideplates with threaded spacers, including first stage step-down gearing, forward stop and reverse lever, fully hard-wired with knurled terminal nuts.

  • The height of the motor shaft can be raised or lowered by adjusting the retaining bolts fitted through the spacers, thus permitting a variety of first stage reduction gearing.

I can also provide an inexpensive, "no-frills'', but equally powerful motor fitted in an insulating fibre block of size 2'' square by 1'' deep. The fibre housing has blind 5/32 BSW threaded holes on each face to enable it to be fixed to sideplates or any suitable mounting. Motor specifications are as for the sideplate motor. No gearing.
