UNFORGOTTEN
At night the sun sets red On a foreign land which hides our dead They fought the battles of an un-named war Never knowing why or exactly what for Our fathers, husbands, brothers and sons Died in a game that couldn’t be won Like pawns they were taken and cast aside No time at the moment for those who had died Bound by the shores of a distant sea Wandering souls who long to be free Now their spirits are seeking the light Haunting the land by day and by night Laid to rest so they may rest in peace Eternally searching for the grave’s release Night after night the sun sets red As we await the remains of our unforgotten dead
