The Adoption Ring:   The Adoption Ring is one of the largest adoption-related webrings (OASIS is a member of this ring). You can find lots of search-related pages here.

Dietrah's Search & Support Links - contains information and links for each state, links to most registries, and lots of other information. A wonderful site!

Vital Records State Index:   All US state and county vital records prices policies, etc.

Family Tree Maker:   Family Tree Maker offers a listing of all US vital records addresses, policies and prices indexed by state.

LDS Family History Centers:   Church of Latter Day Saints Family History Centers listing throughout the world.

Switchboard:   Offers both residential and business listings for the U.S.

Canada 411:   Canada directory that covers all provinces except Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The Ultimate White Pages:   Great resource for finding online directories. Offers reverse lookups.

Ancestry.com SSDI:   Ancestry has an online version of the Social Security Death Index. You can search with a last name, or narrow your search down if you have a first name, state of residence, or other information. Also have dozens of other free genealogy databases available to search.

Military City:   Searchable database of active duty, reserves, and some deceased military men and women.

Vietnam War Casualties:   Database of Vietnam War Casualties by state and city or town.

National Archives of Canada:   Personnel files of over 5,500,000 former military and civilian employees of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Federal Public Service. Documents include information about employment history with Federal Departments, military units servied in, pension details (if available) and personal information.

How to Start Searching by Jeff Hartung:   The following will give readers a good idea about how to get started once one has made the decision to search for one's birthparents.
