A Swirl Ceiling With A Cove

Pic #1

This is a picture of a swirl ceiling and a cove. A swirl ceiling starts out in the center of a room, and goes in a circle until it reaches the walls. Usually either a cove or some other kind of decorative circle is in the center, and then the swirl goes out from there.

Pic #2

In this picture I marked the cove. The cove in the center of the room took three days to make,(not whole days, had to wait for each coat to dry properly) and it's made from a patern that was made by hand. Most coves that I do are from the same patern, but each cove can be made to whatever size that you'd like. Basically a cove has three half circles that stick down around an inch and a half, and they are around four to five inches wide. A cove with a swirl ceiling really make a dining room. Add some glass chip (sparkles) to the ceiling and a nice light fixture(whether a chandelier or a ceiling fan) with a dimmer switch, and you'll get a totally different look for your room.
