That's Close Enough!

Saskatchewan is a vast wilderness. The wild inhabitants there are not exposed to human interference on a level that causes them to be overly cautious. Younger bears will investigate trepassers into their territory and, while normally more cautious, older bears may also check you out and even charge or threaten the human intruder.
This is not to say that hunting there is a guarantee of success. You must still follow common sense precautions to increase your odds of taking mature animals.I have noticed over the years that deer, especially, are becoming more skittish and cautious then they were when I first started going to Saskatchewan.

I Warned You!

dead bear

My second "bow-bear" taken in the Meadow Lake area of Saskatchewan. This guy went less than fifteen yards after my A/C/C arrow passed through him!
