  • Indian Valley Black takes 2nd in East Regional

  • The combined Gold and Green Indian Valley teams took second place in the region on Saturday. They ended pool play in first place with a 5-3 record, but lost the tie breaker(on points) which would have given them a bye. They then ended up playing from 2:30 - 9:00 PM without a break. By the final match the team had no legs and were defeated by Damons for the title

  • Indian Valley Black Takes 2nd in Silver Bracket

  • The Indian Valley Black Volleyball Team is combined team of the Gold and Green Indian Valley Club teams. In the 48 team field Saturdays pool play is to rank the teams in three brackets(Gold/Silver/Bronze). On Saturday, they started out playing Ugly against two pretty good teams. As a combined team it appeared they needed to work out the timing and plays. It is just a shame the first two matches were against the best two teams in the pool. Anyway, they lost the first two against a team from Ohio(should have won one). Then they played Damons. They lost the first game after leading the whole game(Should have won) then we won the second game - a good close game. The rest of Saturday was all wins - so they ended up 5-3 in pool play which sent them to the Silver bracket for Sunday play. Sunday started the same as Saturday only they forgot their Volleyballs - then lost the first two games in the brief pool play. They came back and won the last two - to end up 2-2 in pool play. For whatever reason the were seeded in the bracket playoffs and had three unbelievably easy matches to get to the Silver bracket finals. They ended up losing the first game in a close one 27-25. They killed the Sixpak team in the second 25-17. Then fell behind 4-1 in the third game. Unfortunately the third game is a 15 point rally game which is over in a couple minutes and you can't easily come back from score like that. They lost something like 15-11. So a second place finish isn't too bad The next scheduled Tournament is for Sunday Feb 13th in Hempfield Pa (Directions)

  • The CB West boys 18 and under Club team (Indian Valley Gold) played good volleyball on Sunday after a sluggish start. • Sorry for the delayed update

  • I have no excuses(Sick, Christmas, Computer crash) for updating the results for the boys Dec 19 Tournament results, but here they are now(better late than never). The CB West boys 18 and under Club team (Indian Valley Gold) played average volleyball on Sunday and ended the day tied for 5th in the tournament. They finished pool play in first place with a 5-3 record. They then had to face a tough Precision club team. The playoff was competative but Precision came out on top. • Indian Valley(17's) Win the Outsiders Tournament

  • The CB West boys 17 and under Club team was placed in a very tough pool, with teams like Damons, Precision, Lehigh, and West shore YMCA. The boys ended the pool play in first place with a 7-1 record. They then played in the semifinal match against the host team, the Outsiders. The playoff was competative against a very tough team but the West boys came out ahead by scores of 25-21, and 25-19. The Championship match was against the Pa. powerhouse team in Club Volleyball, Damons. After splitting pool play against Damons the boys hoped to do a little better in this match, but came out flat in the first game losing 17-25. Shocked the West team also fell behind in game 2 until a timeout woke them up. Stephon Delp and Kolter Hodges led the new found agressive attack and won the second and third games 25-23, and 25-21 thus ending a very long and exciting day of Volleyball. Winning th Tournament was a nice beginning to what appears will be a promising Junior Olympic season.
