- West Holds it's Celebration and Awards Banquet
The West Boys Volleyball Team celebrated its very successful season last night with a Banquet at the Plumsteadville Inn. A good time was had by all. Shane went on and on (yes, Shane) about what special moments this year's team provided for him and the CB West Volleyball Program. After winning the Christopher Dock Tournament (expected - based on previous teams' success), this year's team became the first to win 2 tournaments after also winning the Quakertown Tournament. Shane also went on about how this team was the first to reach the District Semi-Finals. Many proud and exciting moments were experienced by this Senior class, as most of the team has been together for three years. We will miss you!!Honors & Awards

- West Loses in Third round of District Playoffs
The West Boys Volleyball Team did not look like themselves in losing to a fired up Council Rock team in two games 7-15,9-15. Council Rock , with their obvious height advantage, was playing far above the net and was placing hard kills to the open floor on the West side. Kenny Eiser had 10 kills/3 blocks and Scott Terry had 17 assists to lead the Team. To see the updated playoff bracket check out this page. (Bracket)

- West Wins Magical Tournament
West started the Quakertown Invitational Tournament the way they start every Tournament -- Asleep. West struggled but managed two wins against a very young Souderton team(15-13,16-14). The team then took care of business for the rest of Pool Play, except for a stinker against Easton, to go 7-1 on the day. West then entered the playoff rounds, where in the past they seem to be able to pick it up a notch, and Saturday was no different.(Please note - all games start at 4-4). The first victim in the Quaterfinals was Lower Merion, where two quick games ended 15-5,15-5. Next up was a Tough & Tall Council Rock team who had just ended a very good Bensalem's day. Council Rock fell to the Bucks 15-4,15-6. In the finals was a team(Exeter) which had beaten West the week before very easily at the Lake Lehman Tournament. With revenge on their minds West started the 3 game match with a dud losing 15-6. It looked like it was all over as West was making bad passes and lack of communication between players left the ball hitting the floor with regularity. However, as West has done in the past, they pulled together, got fired up, and got into their Finals form by defeating Exeter 15-4,15-9 to win the Tournament. The next scheduled match is on Tuesday May 2 at Home against Abington 6:15/7:30 PM.

After a "Team only" timeout West came back to tie it and go ahead. The game went back and forth with each team taking 1 point leads until West managed to win it at 19-17. The third game was more of the same as West came out losing 1-9 before coming back to 12-14. West could not pull off the comeback again as Besalem pulled out the third game 15-12. Kenny Eiser had 19 kills/8 blocks and Evan Chalk had 10 digs to lead the team. The next scheduled match is on Tuesday May 2 at Home against Abington 6:15/7:30 PM.

The match seemed to be one sided most of the day with West winning the first and third games 15-7,15-5 and they led the second game 14-5 before falling apart and losing the middle game 14-16. Jason Jones had 10 kills, Dan Schmoyer had 9 kills/8 digs, and Kenny Eiser had 8 digs/2 blocks to lead the team. - West Loses in Semi-finals of Lake Lehman Tournament
West played in a very tough Pool at the Lake Lehman Tournament on Saturday with three of the final four teams coming from their bracket. West finished Pool play with a 4-4 record which left them tied for third with Pennridge. A playoff game was played to see which team would move on into the Quarterfinals. West got off to a quick lead in the 11 point "Rally-score" playoff game, which is very important, since 11 point Rally games are over in an instant. West managed to side-out the rest of the game to move into the quarterfinals. West then played Parkland in a single quarterfinal game and managed to win in a closely contested match. Next up in the Semi-finals was the Number 1 team in the state, Hempfield. Since West managed a split with Hempfield(11-15,15-5) in pool play they came into the best of three match with a lot of confidence. Hempfield came out with a lot of fire and easily defeated West in 2 games. Kenny Eiser was named to the All-Tournament Team. The next scheduled match is on Tuesday April 25 at Neshaminy 3:30 PM. .(Directions)

West started it's National Conference debut with a two hour loss to a very tough and very tall Council Rock team. The games were back and forth close games all evening. Rock won the first game 16-14, and West came back to even the match with a 15-13 victory. The rubber game was no different with the game going back and forth until Rock had a 14-11 lead. West, with their backs against the wall, played tough and allowed a ball to hit the ground 1 ft out-of-bounds, only to look up and see the line judge saying the ball hit inbounds. The match ended with the bad call, who knows what would have happened if the players were allowed to decide the game.

- West boys perform well in second scrimmage
The second scrimmage was exciting for a different reason than Friday's scrimmage. After all, West was going to scrimmage against Hempfield HS - well known as one of the best teams in the state. CB West
