Summer Program Location | Schedule | Tuition | Register | What we did last summer Every year, the Summer Program offers four sessions at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, Waltham to children 5 years old or older throughout the U.S. and abroad. Each session lasts two weeks, with classes from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Teaching Environment: Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, the location of the Summer Program, is a well-known private high school in Massachusetts. It provides not only a peaceful, beautiful, and safe environment; it also has modern teaching equipment, classroom buildings, cafeteria, swimming pool, stadium. It offers the best environment for children, with everything necessary for summer study and recreation! Qualified Teachers: Summer classes are taught by qualified and experienced teachers from China. Classes are taught in Mandarin, using simplified characters and the Chinese phonetic alphabet. To maintain a balance between study and recreation, there are courses in Chinese language, mathematics, arts and painting, English, music, sports [swimming & ball-games], and outside tours. Student Source: Since the establishment of the summer program, students of various nationalities come from over 20 local communities in New England. Because of our reputation, some students even come from China. Students can not only enjoy their summer vacation, but also gain knowledge, participate in sports, make friends, and at the same time, begin to experience social life. Volunteer Students: The Summer Program offers a number of "Counselor in Training" positions for those who receive a Certificate for community service. Every year, many high school and college students come as CIT to train themselves in teaching, organization and leadership. |
