Chevrolet El Camino

The Chevrolet El Camino was produced from 1959 to 1987. It was a popular vehicle because it provided the work capabilities of a truck combined with the sporty handling of a car. The El Camino was immitated by other manufacturers with vehicles such as the Ranchero and the Brat. While others tried to copy the El Camino none reached the popularity and performance. Now the El Camino is a popular car with collectors and Hot Rodders everywhere

My El Camino

My personal favorite is the 1969 El Camino. I am the proud owner of one of the few that are still around. (The one pictured above is not it.) My Elky is black with black interior. It has a 350 and Muncie 4-speed transmission. It also has a factory bench seat (the 4-speed, bench seat combination was a rare option). I purchased this car from my dad for $2500. I plan to begin the restoration of this car soon. This will be my first project car as I am only 17. I am looking forward to the hard work and mostly the finished product. I would appreciate any useful information anyone might have. Thanks for visiting my page. Please come back as I hope to keep adding to it. I plan to add a picture of my car soon.
