SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY IN ASIA

Can you please help?

I constantly receive email regarding SLP in Asia, particularly from consumers in Asia looking for services for children and adults with communication impairments; members of "expat" / foreign communities in Asia looking for SLP services in their own languages; researchers trying to contact individuals, professional associations or universities in relation to their research; and recently qualified SLPs graduates wanting to extend their experience by  working abroad.

I am indebted to, and rely upon, Speech-Language Pathology / Therapy colleagues throughout Asia for help in keeping this page up to date and accurate. If you can, please suggest sites, provide corrections, and help fill the gaps in the information here.

Please note that clinic sites will not be listed unless they include the names, qualifications (e.g., BSc, MA, PhD) and professional affiliations (e.g., ASHA (CCC), HKAST, ISHA, JAS, KASA, NZSTA, RCSLT, Speech Pathology Australia,  SHAS) of the speech-language pathologists (speech and language therapists) involved.

Prospective clients should be aware that the inclusion on this page of particular clinics and agencies providing speech pathology assessment and treatment services does not imply endorsement. Caroline Bowen

In Japan, nationally certified professionals who work with individuals who have problems in speech, language, hearing and /or related areas are now called speech- language- hearing therapists.
