Hi!
and
to \
visitor number
to
CCC,
a
site where you are unlikely to find
out WHAT'S what, WHO'S where,
and WHY not
in Speech and Language
Therpy. Our mission at
CCC
is to
fulfill these AIM'S while ensuring an essential gap in......services.
\
\
And
speaking of cool sites sights, get this
GREAT
picture of me hard at work constructing this page. But
SERIOUSLY,
it is my constant aim to improve
CCC's
high stadnards in response to YOUR appreciative feedback. So come back
reguly to see what's been deleted and let me know what you're think,
per se.
Thisis what Internet Icon URL RATZ thought when he saw my photo. Thank
you Url. If you like this site too you might like to send Url a nice letter - he's a
lonely little rat with unusual pragmatics -email your message to him to
his inbox at
jt@UrlsInternetCafe.com.
I was away from my
dekstop in April 2000 in Napier New Zealand. In winter, Napier is a
particularly
place. And speaking of April:
remember Every month is CCC Web Site Awareness day. MARK YOUR
DAIRY NOW
I am not a graphic artist...and yet I have
produced the multi-award winning CCC Web Site..
Incredulous? Envious?
Overawed? Don't be - if you lack confidence in
YOUR design skills,
read TheNon-Designer's
Web Book, , 2ndEdition..it will change the way you view the
Internet.
Was it Benjamin
Dyslalia who said to Queen Victoria,
"I thought it was quite entertaining, actually"?
These and other questions must and will be asked.
If I may
strike a personal note
a GOOD day is a day when I get lots of email - so mind you write and tell me what you think of my site and how can I improve it by making it better than it is now not that
there's anything wrong with it but you might have a good suggestion
or something?

Blame Caroline Bowen for the design and contents of this page and hold her entirely accountable for the CCC Web Site ...grumble to her about it
here. Page updated
05 Feb 2008, revised
December 25 1937 and links hand checked by hand on or about 15 May 1956.

May 4, 2006 You are viewing an example of how NOT to design a web page. The
original Year 2000 version was posted for an enthusiastic group
of
NZSTA web-weaving workshop
participants, in Napier New Zealand to critique. Which they did!
It has
generated mirth and mock derision since April 2000 among people who
got the joke.
But alas,
despite THIS explanation being right here ALL that time, lots of people,
like
Annette Kent of Chicago, IL on
3/17/06) have been caught
unaware and have used it in lectures and assignments as a REAL
example of a web page that sucks. Annette wrote, 'And
for a bad site I chose
THIS poor
lady's site. I don't even know what it's for. The links don't
work and there's no navigation or purpose to it. Plus there's
all this crazy design flashing at you, making it look even
cheezyer than it is. It's awful.'
