Pere Lachaise is a remarkable cemetery.
I have never seen a place with such an abundance of truly beautiful funerary
sculpture. You can lose yourself for hours in this stately city of the
dead. It has many levels, cobblestone avenues and shady trees.
Interred herein are several famous people. Among them Balzac, LaFontaine,
Moliere, Sarah Bernhardt, Chopin and Jim Morrison.
